THINKLINK

THINKLINK      What’s It About? When opening THINGLINK, kids either upload or search the community for a static background image. Once it's loaded, kids click to add red and white targets throughout the image.  ThingLink  will prompt users to insert text or media (another image from the photo roll or a video). Then they can share these interactive images using email or social media. The app's community can be accessed by choosing the menu on the left, which will guide users to interactive images that others have created; some content is too mature for younger users. Is It Any Good? ThingLink  provides an easy-to-use platform for creating engaging, interactive images. It gives kids the potential to create meaningful content for any subject. Example uses are available from the featured content page, which might help some kids get a better idea of how best to use the tool. Because of its focus on images rather than text,  ThingLink  easily supports multiple learning styles and li

ARize

ARize What do you like best? It makes monitoring the property so easy. We have everything in one place. Their app is really simple for me to use. Their support team was very friendly and knowledgeable. What do you dislike? My community has a lot of students and it would be really nice if I could monitor who is coming and going from each unit. The system doesn't allow that right now unless it's a vacant unit for privacy protection reasons which I can understand. Recommendations to others considering the product: This is the best all in one system there. Go for it! they have an amazing service team so you get a hang of everything quickly. What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you? For one my headache feels like it got taken over by these products for me. I don't have to stress about possible water leaks with their automatic detectors. It also helps with our occupancy rates .

AUGMENTED REALITY

AUGMENTED REALITY The use of Augmented Reality (AR) to achieve educational inclusion has been not deeply explored. This systematic review describes the current state of using AR as an educational technology that takes into consideration the needs of all students including those with a disability. It is done through the analysis of factors, such as the advantages of AR, its limitations, uses, challenges, its scope in the educational field, the attended population and the positive or negative effects of its use in learning scenarios that involve students with diverse educational needs. A total of 50 studies between 2008 and 2018 were analyzed through searching in three interdisciplinary databases: Scopus, Web of Science, and Springer link. For this, the methodological stages considered were planning the review, search, analysis of literature and results report. After analyzing the results, it was possible to demonstrate that the use of AR for inclusive education in the field of sciences

TPACK

TPACK Early in 2001, Pierson began to use the concept of TPCK. Pierson’s TPCK referred to “Technology assisting PCK”. It was a multifaceted set of knowledge and skills required by a teacher to teach a specific subject for a specific grade. In 2005, Niess negated Pierson’s definition of TPCK and suggested that TPCK was not only a kind of knowledge and skill but also a kind of dynamic knowledge including developing subject knowledge, technology knowledge and teaching and learning knowledge and a kind of creative thinking on how technology-supported teaching and learning. Niess changed TPCK from a static concept to a dynamic one   (Xu, Liu, Wang, & Zhang, 2013) . At the same year, Koehler and Mishra also put forward the concept of TPCK   (Koehler & Mishra, 2005b)   on the basis of Shulman’s PCK   (Shulman, 1986, 1987) . In 2006, Koehler and Mishra introduced TPCK in detail in the published article “ Technological   Pedagogical   Content   Knowledge:   A   Framework   for   Teache

DUOLINGO

DUOLINGO Like millions of other people around the world, I started trying to use Duolingo consistently during the early months of the pandemic. I missed my family and started  digging into my ancestry in response . I learned some basic German, which my late grandmother would pepper into conversations when I was a child. I also tried to pick up where I left off in college with Spanish. Duolingo has been around for almost 10 years and is available for iOS, Android and via the browser on PC. The app employs bite-sized lessons that include speaking, listening, reading and writing to teach you a new language or brush up on a secondary language. Lessons are also gamified, which means they offer rewards and other benefits for making progress, giving you more incentive to keep learning. When you use the app for the first time, you can choose the language you want to learn. Duolingo offers almost 100 language courses that teach 39 different languages, including endangered and indigenous langua

EDPUZZLE

EDPUZZLE What is Edpuzzle used for? Edpuzzle can be used for a wide variety of educational purposes. First, to enhance learning through annotated video content. Edpuzzle video lessons allow students to engage with video lessons on a deeper level thus boosting their overall understanding and engagement.
